(Subclass 189)
This is a permanent visa which solely relies on the applicant's skills based on the points test. It does not require an employer or State/Territory nomination.
SKILLED WORK REGIONAL
PROVISIONAL) (Subclass 491)
This is a temporary visa valid up to 5 years requiring the applicant to be nominated by a State or Territory Government agency. The applicant must live and work in a designated regional area of Australia. Each State has its own criteria and occupations lists.
SKILLED NOMINATED
(Subclass 190)
This is a permanent visa and to be eligible the applicant is to be nominated by a State or Territory Government agency. Each State has its own criteria and occupations lists.
